Healing has always been communal.

Community care, ritual, and embodied rest — for those who are ready to come back to themselves, together.

The times are urgent; let us slow down.
— Bayo Akomolafe

Raíces with Nubia LLC is my offering, born from the deep belief that healing has always been communal, and that rest, ritual, and being witnessed are medicine. I created this space because I witnessed first hand what clinical settings often times miss: there are energetic and spiritual dimensions to healing.

I bring together my training in medicine, trauma-informed yoga, sound healing, somatics, and ritual to create spaces where healing happens collectively.

These offerings are rooted in BIPOC healing traditions and the belief that rest, ritual, and community are not luxuries. They are acts of care and resistance.

Bilingual offerings available in English and Spanish. // Ofrecemos espacios bilingües en inglés y español.

Offerings

A woman with short dark hair and earrings participating in a sound healin session in a brightly lit room with a hanging plant, a neon sign on the wall, and white bowls on a woven mat on the floor decorated with pink flowers and small pieces of paper.

I came to sound healing through my own body. Through the moments when words weren't enough and something deeper needed to be reached.

Sound is medicine. It is vibration, frequency, and energy. A remembering of what the body already knows. When we are chronically stressed, grieving, or carrying more than we can name, our nervous systems get stuck in patterns of protection.

Sound moves through tissue and fluid, bypasses the thinking mind, and invites the body into states of deep rest and repair that most of us rarely have access to because of the cultures we live in. I use crystal singing bowls, koshi chimes, and mixed nut chimes, each chosen for the quality of resonance they carry into a room.

Through the science of entrainment, your brainwaves naturally synchronize with sound frequencies, gently guiding you from activation into the slower, softer states where healing lives.

Each session is multisensory and intentional, weaving together sound, essential oils, and reflective journaling into a full-body experience of restoration.

Sound baths are available for private groups, community events, and organizational wellness, in person or virtual.

Sound Baths & Sound Healing

Círculo de Mujeres

I hold Círculo de Mujeres because I know what it feels like to need a space where you don't have to explain yourself — where your full complexity is not just tolerated but welcomed. This is a sacred gathering for women and femmes to come together, share, and be held.

Rooted in the wisdom that women heal in community — through story, ritual, and the simple act of being truly seen. Each circle is intentionally held, culturally grounded, and offered with deep care for who you are and everything you carry.

I believe grief deserves more than silence.

Whether you are mourning a person, a relationship, a version of yourself, or the weight of collective loss — there is space for it here. Grief is not a problem to be solved. It is a sacred process that asks to be witnessed.

Grief circles weave together ritual, somatic practice, and community witnessing to honor what has been lost and tend to what is still becoming.

Grief Circles & Ritual

People practicing yoga or a stretch class in a room filled with plants, sunlight, and natural light, with two individuals lying on mats and others assisting or instructing.

In a world that profits from your exhaustion, rest is radical. Rest Portals are guided experiences of deep restoration, blending restorative movement, breathwork, and somatic practices to help your body remember what it feels like to come home to itself.
